When the British High Street Awards visited Hull’s Trinity Market, we took the opportunity to create a very Drunk Animal installation. Featuring an incarnation of the Drunk Animal Orange Man/Woman/Person, we set up in a vacant retail space, displaying simple but effective messaging and using a limited colour pallet.
Strings, ribbons and stockings were intertwined to create a complex spiderweb-like mesh behind and around a table and chair (and rooster). We juxtaposed a simple message and faceless figure with a complex and surreal setting to show how marketing, in whatever form, doesn’t need to be overly complex – it just needs to grab people’s attention and be memorable.
