The Condor Group came to us in September 2020 with an exciting project; to save the last remaining Blackburn Beverley from the scrapheap.
After buying the plane at auction, the Condor Aviation team needed help in raising the £100k costs needed to dismantle, move, restore and preserve this iconic plane for future generations.
Playing on the local provenance of the plane, we developed an impactful social media and PR campaign that drove traffic to a crowdfunder appeal. With a range of incentives available, supporters were able to benefit from their generosity in a variety of ways.
To bring the campaign to life, we created a launch video and trawled through the Beverley artefacts found with the plane to bring the history of the plane to life. We also created a range of artist impressions to show the end goal for the plane; a place of respite for those affected by conflict.
We’re in the early stages of this project, but in the coming months we’ll be working with Heritage Lottery and Help for Heroes to bring a new lease of life to this icon of the skies. Keep checking back to see our progress.
