We Are Hiring: Communications Manager

We are looking for a self-motivated and talented Communications Manager to lead our communications department. In this position, you will be in charge of producing high-quality content that engages customers and builds brand recognition. The primary role of the Communications Manager will be to increase the reach and impact of Drunk Animal’s profile and visibility through the delivery of high value and influential marketing, communications and PR in the UK and internationally, as well as managing and producing content for a range of clients.

Your main duties will also include creating informative content, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share our company’s brand, products, and services. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organisational skills.



Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials.

Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.

Prepare detailed media activity reports.

Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all marketing materials.

Work with different company departments to generate new ideas and strategies.

Supervise written content on all projects to guarantee content is publication-ready.

Create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events, and promotions.

Ensure all content relating to the company has a consistent tone of voice and is ‘on brand’.

Manage multiple social media channels, ensuring content is relevant and engaging.

Identify opportunities for media exposure, awards and accreditations and prepare all necessary content for submissions.

Engage with local and regional media to place the company as a thought leader.

Lead the marketing and public relations staff.

Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.

Foster relationships with advocates and key persons

Collaborate with marketing professionals to produce copy for advertisements or articles

Perform “damage control” in cases of bad publicity

Facilitate the resolution of disputes with the public or external vendors

Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership



BSc/BA in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Experience in copywriting and editing

Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.

Experience creating content for and managing multiple social media accounts is essential.

Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.

Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.

Working knowledge of MS Office/Google Docs; photo and video-editing software is an asset



This is a full time position. Working hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
